Fun Fact
In 1795, the site of the present day Main Street playground was the landing site for the "New Ferry" to Catherine Street in Manhattan. The ferry was literally horse-powered, driven by wheels turned by horses walking in circles.

Main Street Lot

Main Street PlaygroundBrooklyn Bridge Park is often referred to as the "Main Street Lot" because it used to be a parking lot! The city now manages this park area and playground.

Hours: The Park is officially open according to posted hours.

Facilities: Playground, No public restrooms.

Restrictions: City rules: NO ALCOHOL, NO SWIMMING.  NO PETS are allowed in the playground. PETS ALLOWED in the park; they must be leashed and you must clean up after your pet.

Permitting: All events require a city permit ($25 permit fee).
