Join Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Educators in identifying and counting birds in the Park as part of the 28th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Be a part of this international community science event that counts birds across the world and collects data for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations.
No birding experience necessary. Children are welcome, but this is an adult-oriented program.
We will meet at Pier 1 and walk through other areas of the park. We encourage you to bring your own binoculars, if you have them, but can provide some for those who don’t.
This is a free event. Spaces are limited, registration is required.
