As part of our Big Summer Get Down series, join for Love Saves the Day Tribute to David Mancuso on Saturday, July 19! This is a free, all ages dance party.
Brooklyn Bridge Park in collaboration with the team behind David Mancuso’s Loft Party, an iconic New York City dance party, known for its eclectic musical spirit, thoughtful approach to audiophile-quality sound, and a deep commitment to community, host the second outdoor Love Saves the Day celebration, a free event honoring the party’s visionary founder, David Mancuso.
The Loft’s current musical hosts, Douglas Sherman and Edowa Shimizu, curate a soundscape of immersive selections, guided by the Loft’s hallmark philosophy that every song should shine on its own, and the dancers are the stars.
A visual journey capturing the heart of the party over the years will be shared by longtime dancer and Loft documentarian, Sandy Moon, connecting the past with the present. Luis Vargas adds his festive touch with video elements and the signature mirror ball. In true Loft fashion, Ernesto Green centers this celebration of community, and the enduring power of music to bring people together.
All are welcome to join this joyful gathering at the water’s edge, a tribute to David’s legacy of love, music, and togetherness that continues to resonate throughout the city and beyond.
