SUMMARY:Nature Journaling: Flower & Friends
DESCRIPTION:Do you feel like you need a moment of pause and a deeper connection with nature? Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a free nature journaling workshop, as part of our Peace In Nature series. The 90-minute workshop helps you start or expand your nature journaling practice, providing you with ecological context, thematic prompts and time to journal.\nThis month’s theme, “Flowers and Friends”, invites you to notice what’s in bloom and who’s buzzing around. Learn about the role of flowers and the importance of their pollinator friends as you reflect on themes of beauty and partnership. This month, we’ll meet at Pier 1 where educators will be waiting at the entrance, by the Pavilion until 10:05am before moving to the site of the workshop.\nThis series is intended for adults, but all are welcome. Materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but we encourage you to bring your own materials and journals if you have them. This event is first come, first serve, with 20 total spots available. Advance registration encouraged but not required.\nRegister Now!\nAccessibility Note: Please reach out to education@bbp.nyc for any accessibility needs or questions. The paths on the pier are paved, and the workshop location is about 200 ft from the meeting location. The workshop will take place on grass lawns with inclines. Cushions and step-stools are provided for seating, and park benches are also available. Bathrooms are available nearby at the Pavilion.
