DESCRIPTION:Stretch and strengthen with free weekly Pilates classes, led by Dodge YMCA. This all-level one hour fitness class is open to all ages and abilities.\nPilates is a low-impact exercise that strengthens the body, with particular focus on the core (abs, back, glutes),by utilizing controlled, precise movements, focused breathing, and alignment.\nNo equipment is required but participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels, if desired, to use on the lawn. An extremely limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow from Brooklyn Bridge Park staff.\nAdvance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows. Fitness waivers are required by all participants (click here; you only need to complete once per season). Please note that holiday weekends may be skipped; please check our schedule.\nRegister Now!
