DESCRIPTION:Coastal Cleanup volunteers help remove debris washed up into the Park. They also record what’s collected, contributing to efforts worldwide to better understand and tackle plastic pollution.\nThis event will be one of over 100 cleanup activities taking place across NYC and the Hudson Valley as part of the 2026 Riverkeeper Sweep.\nNote: Coastal Cleanups involve uneven surfaces, rock scrambling, bending, and light lifting.\nAdvance registration is required and spaces are limited. \nTo register:\n\nNew volunteers, please create a Volunteer Profile to sign up for opportunities  \n\n\nRegistered volunteers, please log-in to your volunteer profile to schedule yourself \n\nIf you’re signing up as a family, please email volunteer@bbp.nyc \nFull details, including location of the activity, will be emailed to registered volunteers a few days prior to the event. \nNote: If you’re not seeing any dates available when trying to sign up for a Coastal Cleanup opportunity, it’s because either all the spots have been filled, or the event has not yet opened for sign-ups.
