On June 13, Freelance kicks off the series with a blend of electronic fusion, jazz, progressive R&B and alt rock influences. Harlem-based collective Freelance is a band of independent leaders with an expansive sound and encyclopedic knowledge of musical genres. This affords them the ability to cross-pollinate styles and manipulate melody creating a unique aesthetic signature.
