Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Announces New Board Member Craig Kanarick

December 8, 2021

BROOKLYN, Wednesday December 8, 2021—The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy (Conservancy) is pleased to announce the election of Craig Kanarick to the organization’s Board of Directors. The election took place at today’s Conservancy December 8 Board Meeting.

“We are honored to welcome Craig Kanarick to the Conservancy Board of Directors,” said Chris Coffey, Conservancy Board Chairman. “Despite another challenging year, we are eager to build on this season’s return to programming with an even stronger lineup of events in 2022. Craig’s extensive waterfront experience and longtime dedication to the Brooklyn community will be invaluable as we think about new creative partnerships and exciting opportunities in the days ahead.”

CRAIG KANARICK

Craig is currently the CEO of New York Cruise Lines, owners and operators of the iconic Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, along with other marine-based brands such as New York Water Taxi, North River Lobster Company, and La Barca Cantina. Prior to that, he was the co-founder and CEO of Mouth Foods, an online retailer of indie and small-batch foods, based in DUMBO. He is also well-known as the co-founder of Razorfish, a pioneering digital agency and a significant influence in the nascent internet industry.

Craig also serves on the boards of Lab/Shul and Healthy Living Market and Café. He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree from MIT, and resides in Cobble Hill.

“I am so honored and excited to be part of this wonderful organization. I’m an active supporter of the New York waterfront and a frequent visitor to the Park, which is an inspiration nation-wide and a model of how outstanding and well-programmed an urban park can be.”

Craig Kanarick is the latest in a talented and dedicated group of volunteers and supporters who have joined the Conservancy’s Board of Directors in 2021 including Matthew Rhys, Keri Russell, Jen Votaw, Che Chisholm, Jay Mann, Dee Poku-Spalding, Alex Stanton, and Antonia Yuille Williams.
