Food and drinks will be available for purchase on-site along the Pier 1 Promenade (bottom of the hill near the movie screen and water’s edge). Check back for details on 2025’s offerings.

No, all Movies With A View events are open to all ages. However, guardians should be aware that titles may include PG-13 and R rated selections, which are clearly noted. We encourage guardians to do their own research ahead of time to ensure the movie is suiting and appropriate for your children. Additionally, all minors should be accompanied by an adult. The Conservancy is not responsible for gauging appropriateness of titles for movie-goers.

All movies are captioned in English.

If you require physical accommodations to set up your own chair, please see a Conservancy staff member at one of our welcome tents upon arrival – there is limited reserved seating at the top of the lawn (on the pavement). Chairs, other than wheelchairs, are not allowed on the lawn, but you may use your own picnic blanket or personal-sized cushion. Portable stadium-style cushion seats, without legs or hard pieces, are a great option to provide back support, and permitted on the lawn.

The nearest restrooms are available at Pierhouse until 10:45 PM (wayfinding signs posted on movie nights). Restrooms are available all evening at Pier 2 (orange shipping container building).

No! All Movies With A View events are free and open to the public, first come, first served – no advanced registration is required. We recommend arriving early to claim your spot on the lawn. Please note that once the lawn reaches capacity, we may need to turn people away or implement a “one-in, one-out” policy.

The lawn opens at 5:00 PM with food vendors on site, and movies begin at sundown. We recommend arriving early to move through bag check, stake out a good spot, and take in the spectacular skyline!

All Movies With A View titles are carefully selected by the Conservancy’s Volunteer Film Committee. The Committee selects a theme each year, and works to curate a broad selection of suiting titles for the public to enjoy. Please note that screening rights and screening costs also are factored into their decisions (for example, we would not be able to show a brand new titles still in theaters).

Movie goers may use bike rack near the Pier 1 entrance. Bikes will not be allowed onto the lawn, and should not be locked to fences or other unauthorized areas.

Yes. Lockers are located at Pier 2 for 25 cents and at Pier 5 for free. Please note that items may not be stored overnight, any items found will be removed.

As of May 23, 2011, Brooklyn Bridge Park is a smoke-free park, consistent with New York City law. On April 29, 2014, the Smoke-Free Air Act was expanded to include the use electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). The law is intended to make parks healthier and cleaner places to visit. We ask your compliance.
