Coastal Cleanup

Coastal Cleanup volunteers help remove debris washed up into the Park. They also record what’s collected, contributing to efforts worldwide to better understand and tackle plastic pollution.

Note: Coastal Cleanups involve uneven surfaces, rock scrambling, bending, and light lifting.

Advance registration is required and spaces are limited. 

To register:

• New volunteers, please create a Volunteer Profile to sign up for opportunities  

• Registered volunteers, please log-in to your volunteer profile to schedule yourself 

If you’re signing up as a family, please email volunteer@bbp.nyc 

Full details, including location of the activity, will be emailed to registered volunteers a few days prior to the event. 

Note: If you’re not seeing any dates available when trying to sign up for a Coastal Cleanup opportunity, it’s because either all the spots have been filled, or the event has not yet opened for sign-ups. Keep an eye out for communications from us regarding upcoming opportunities and updates!
