Shore Thing, a splashy sunset social, will be warming up the waterfront one Wednesday a month from June through September. Set against the backdrop of the iconic city skyline and the twinkle of the Brooklyn Bridge, we’ll welcome vibrant New Yorkers and Brooklynites from all over to get shored up at the shoreline.
On Monday, July 29, feel the amore you’ve been kneading as we melt together from golden hour to twilight with retro Italian tunes, surprise performances, cheesy games, themed photo booth, and iconic sunset views.
Our ridiculously disarming interactive experiences will forge new connections as the sun does her thing, painting the city in sherbert technicolor. Then we’ll get down while it all goes down with local DJs, live music, and performances. This roving series will highlight some of the most unique venues in the park, harnessing the magnetic pull of city goers to summer sunset views and inspiring revelers to linger long after the last light leaves the shore.
Brought to you by Space Invader Social and Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy.
At our events, weird is wonderful and strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet. Each event features a unique slate of interactive experiences such as tarot readings, tattoos, themed adornments and connection games, offering low-commitment ways to engage in the moment.
Play Human Bingo and mingle through short interactions, filling your card to win bizarre prizes, or spin the Connection Wheel with a total stranger to go deeper, completing an intimacy challenge in exchange for a treat.
Spontaneous moments at a party don’t always translate to lasting bonds. Many of our members have arrived as strangers and found best friends, romantic partners, adventure buddies, and collaborators – it’s social serendipity that the digital world often struggles to simulate. See you at Fornino’s rooftop!
Monday, July 29 event was rescheduled from original July 17 date, due to rain.
