Park Alerts & Event Updates

Events are subject to change due to weather or other extenuating circumstances. We do our best to update this page and respective event pages in a timely manner. If an event offers an RSVP option, registrants will be notified of changes by email and/or text (if opted in). We also post alerts to our Instagram and Facebook Stories.

We are always working to maintain and improve Brooklyn Bridge Park. Here you will find a description of current work and happenings in the Park that may disrupt some areas of use and cause location closures.

• Please follow wayfinding signs around Emily Warren Roebling Plaza due to the adidas Home of Soccer event taking place
• The Main St. water feature is currently being repaired.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Lawn Closures: As part of our effort to continue to provide high-quality organically managed lawns, we are closing select lawns for extended closures in April and May to allow them to revitalize during the spring growing season. We have also established a rotating lawn closure schedule for six park lawns with the highest usage, each closed for one day every two weeks from May to October, creating periodic rest so that they remain vibrant. These dates are subject to change without notice. We try to keep this page as up to date as possible, but sometimes schedules shift due to supply chains, weather, staff needs, or other impacts. We appreciate your patience while we work to make improvements and maintain the Park.

During the winter months, please note:

• Restrooms close at 10:00 PM, November-February
• Pier 2 closes at 9:00 PM, October-February
• Park-wide water systems (water fountains, water features, etc.) are shut off in mid-November and are turned back on in early April
• Several in-park concessions and vendors operate seasonally and close for the winter; please check hours ahead of your visit
• Snow and ice: Pier 5 turf closes for snow/ice until melted; turfs are not shoveled or plowed to prevent turf damage. Squibb Bridge, Pier 2 pickleball courts, and all playgrounds close until they can be cleared of snow/ice.
