BROOKLYN, March 14, 2018 — The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy (Conservancy) is pleased to announce the election of Neely Cather to the organization’s Board of Directors. The election took place at the Conservancy’s March 14 Board meeting.
“As a longtime supporter of the Conservancy, and an advocate for children’s education, Neely understands and embraces our mission wholeheartedly,” said Mark Baker, Conservancy Board Chairman. “We’re delighted to welcome her to the board.”
Neely Doshi-Cather has been a Brooklyn resident for 17 years. She is currently a Director at Doshi Capital Partners, overseeing the management of her family’s investment and real estate portfolio. Neely also recently co-founded Firefly Green with her husband Todd with the goal of developing sustainable zero-footprint homes and communities in the Berkshire region.
Cather has been Secretary of the Board of the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School for six years, while also chairing the Board’s Buildings and Ground Committee. She most recently led the design and fundraising campaign to complete the school’s outdoor footprint.
Her past careers included advertising and management consulting. An active community member, Cather focuses her efforts on the environment, children’s health and education.
Cather graduated from Emory University with a BA in Business Administration, and from Fordham University’s Deming Scholar MBA Program with a concentration in management systems.
“I am committed to the growth of this magnificent world-class waterfront park, fascinated by the private and public partnerships and truly honored to join the company of those who have paved the path before us,” said Cather.
