Brooklyn Bridge Park is accessible by several subway lines (A/C, 2/3, 4/5, F, R) and bus routes (B25, B61, B63, B67). Visitors can also arrive via the NYC Ferry at Fulton Ferry Landing and Pier 6. For Access-a-Ride access to Pier 1, please use the address 1 Water Street (corner of Old Fulton and Water Street). To enter the southern end of the park, please use the address 360 Furman Street and exit on the west side of the building.
Parking near Brooklyn Bridge Park is very limited. We recommend using public transportation, biking, or walking to the Park. BBP is accessible by bus, subway and ferry. Get details on ways to get to the Park.
There are limited metered parking spaces in a public parking lot on Furman Street near Pier 2. The parking spaces are metered for both a minimum and a maximum of three hours. Please note that parking on the Loop Road (between Pier 5 and Pier 6) is not allowed, it is a drop-off space only.
There are two paid parking lots in the Park. A parking garage operated by City Parking is located near Pier 6, accessible on the south side of 360 Furman Street. A parking garage operated by LAZ is located near Pier 1, accessible on the south side of 90 Furman Street (under Squibb Bridge).
The entire Park is ADA Accessible. For Access-a-Ride access to Pier 1, please use the address 1 Water Street, Brooklyn (corner of Old Fulton and Water Street). To enter the southern end of the park, please use the address 360 Furman Street, Brooklyn and exit on the west side of the building.

Boats under human power can launch from the beach at Pier 4.
There are bike racks to lock a bike to throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park and at all main entrances. Please note that bikes should not be locked overnight or for extended periods of time.
Bicycles are welcome in Brooklyn Bridge Park! Bicycle riding is permissible on the designated bike path only along the Greenway. Riders must dismount their bikes on all other pathways, including the promenades around each pier and on Squibb Bridge. Bicycle racks are located throughout the Park, at each Park entrance, and near Park buildings. Please do not lock your bike to any other structure. Bikes left on racks overnight will be removed.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is free to enter! There is no entrance fee to the Park and the majority of events are free. To use facilities not managed by BBP, such as Jane’s Carousel and Pier 2 Roller Rink there may be fees.

Being on the waterfront, weather can change rapidly; our team assesses conditions regularly and does the best to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner. Yes. There are water fountains throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park and each has a water bottle filling feature.
Water fountains are turned off for the winter season when outside temperatures reach freezing.
Leashed dogs are welcome on park pathways, but dogs are not allowed on lawns. There are two dog runs: one located at Pier 6 and one at John Street, each open 6:30am–10:00pm daily. Dog runs are routinely washed and pet waste bags are available at each dog run. Dogs must be licensed with visible identification tags and vaccinated for rabies.
Non-salt ice melt is used on park pathways during icy conditions.
No, drones are not permitted in the Park. Launching, landing, or operating drones in this area is strictly prohibited in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Violators may be prosecuted and subjected to City, State, or Federal penalties along with the confiscation of drone and connected devices.
Alcohol cannot be brought into Brooklyn Bridge Park. Alcohol is available for purchase at some Park concessions, but must be consumed within that concession location.
No, please leave the berries and the leaves for the animals that call the Park home.
Yes, permit applications for wedding ceremonies are available. Wedding ceremonies can be held on the on the Pier 1 Granite Prospect, on the Empire Fulton Ferry boardwalk and at the Main Street pebble beach only. Permits are required. Please see our Permits section of the website for more information.
As of May 23, 2011, Brooklyn Bridge Park is a smoke-free park, consistent with New York City law. On April 29, 2014, the Smoke-Free Air Act was expanded to include the use electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). The law is intended to make parks healthier and cleaner places to visit. We ask your compliance.
You must bring your own equipment to play any of the sports at the park.

Yes, if you find an item in the Park you can give it to any Park staff member or drop it off at our office at 334 Furman Street (near Pier 5). If you have lost an item please complete this form here, if the item is found we will contact you.
No, not currently. Swimming or wading in the East River at the Pier 4 Beach is not allowed, the water can be dangerous for swimmers due to the strong currents, ship traffic, cold temperatures, and water pollution; additionally, there are no lifeguards at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Before construction of the Pier 2 Uplands, a temporary pop-up pool existed, but it closed in 2018.
There is no public access to the roof. Watertower 3: R.V. can be viewed well from the lawn in the Pier 5 Uplands.

Yes! There are lots of places to eat and drink in and near Brooklyn Bridge Park. Please browse through all the park concessions and nearby eateries. Many nearby restaurants, cafés, and bars are listed on online with the DUMBO BID, Atlantic Avenue BID, Montague Street BID, and Downtown Brooklyn.
All grills are available for first come, first served use. We suggest using tin foil to separate your food from the grill surface.
No, cooking equipment of any kind, including sternos and other heating equipment, is no permitted in the Park. This type of equipment could endanger other park patrons or the natural environment. Grills are available for first come, first served use at the Pier 5 Picnic Peninsula.
No, picnic tables and grilling areas are on a first come, first serve basis. When the grilling area is busy, we ask that grills are only used for one hour at a time.

No! All Movies With A View events are free and open to the public, capacity is first come, first served – no advanced registration is required. We recommend arriving early to claim your spot on the lawn. Please note that once the lawn reaches capacity, we may need to turn people away or implement a “one-in, one-out” policy.

The lawn opens at 6:00 PM, movies begin at sundown. Capacity is first-come, first serve. We recommend arriving early to move through bag check, stake out a good spot, and take in the spectacular skyline!
At Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. Entrances are at the top of the lawn and along Pier 1 Promenade. Visit here for directions.
Yes! Feel free to bring in your own food, whether a homemade picnic, pizza, or take-out on the go, but a reminder that outside alcohol and glass is always prohibited in the Park. Please be advised that bag checks will be conducted at the entrance.
Beverages (water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages for those 21+) and light movie concessions will be available for purchase on-site along the Pier 1 Promenade (bottom of the hill near the movie screen and water’s edge).
Please clean up all trash as you depart.
Unfortunately, no to both. Chairs (other than wheelchairs) are not allowed on the lawn, so please bring your own picnic blanket or personal cushion. Portable stadium-style cushion seats without legs or hard pieces are a great option. Dogs are not allowed on the lawns at any time, per Park rules and we ask you keep your pet at home for their own comfort and safety, as our events can get loud and be busy, with exception of service animals.
For those who require physical accommodations, there is a limited reserved seating area at the top of the lawn (on the pavement). Please bring your own chair, and see a Brooklyn Bridge Park staff member the welcome tent at top of the lawn to inquire.

Chairs, other than wheelchairs, are not allowed on the lawn, but you may use your own picnic blanket or personal-sized cushion. The nearest restrooms are available at Pier 1 Pavilion and Pier 2 (orange shipping container building). Wayfinding signs are posted on movie nights. View the Park map.
Movie goers may use bike rack near the Pier 1 Pavilion, or Pier 2 entrance. Bikes will not be allowed onto the lawn, and should not be locked to fences, barricades, or other unauthorized areas.
No, all Movies With A View events are open to all ages. However, guardians should be aware that titles may include PG-13 and R rated selections, which are clearly noted. We encourage guardians to do their own research ahead of time to ensure the movie is suiting and appropriate for your children. Additionally, all minors should be accompanied by an adult. Brooklyn Bridge Park is not responsible for gauging appropriateness of titles for movie-goers.
