Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is hosting a Green Team social event in collaboration with City of Forest Day for NYC teens on Saturday, October 26 10:00 AM-12:30 PM!
City of Forest Day is an annual day of activities across NYC to raise awareness of the importance of our city’s urban forest, and the essential role New Yorkers play every day in caring for the “lungs” of our city. Teens will participate in a Green Team event helping Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Horticulture department care for the sprawling woodland habitats of Pier 1, completing tasks such as weeding, planting and mulching. Stick around at the end for some snacks and socializing with other teens. All participants will receive community service hours. Registration required! Exact location details to be shared closer to the event.
