Join us to learn the fascinating story of the Roebling family and the engineering behind it. Immerse yourself in the history of the bridge that transformed the New York landscape forever.
This program meets at and first hour will take place Pier 1 Granite Prospect’s rock steps, before walking up to the first tower of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Accessibility: The guided walk onto the bridge includes an uphill, ~ 7 block (around 4,595 ft) journey to the tower of the bridge. There is a small staircase to access the bridge and once on you can expect there to be no shade, and a slight uphill incline on concrete and wooden flooring. Lost an item in the Park? Please check with the Park Enforcement Police. Their office is located at 99 Plymouth St. and staffed between 7:00 AM and 2:00 AM. They can be reached by phone at 1-347-860-4781. Please note all items are vouchered at the 84th Precinct within 24 hours of initial find.
Found an item in the Park? You can hand the item to any Park staff member or Park Enforcement Police, or drop it at their office. Thanks for helping!

Yes! There are lots of places to eat and drink in and near Brooklyn Bridge Park. Please browse through all the park concessions and nearby eateries. Many nearby restaurants, cafés, and bars are listed on online with the DUMBO BID, Atlantic Avenue BID, Montague Street BID, and Downtown Brooklyn.
Yes. There are water fountains throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park and each has a water bottle filling feature.
Water fountains are turned off for the winter season when outside temperatures reach freezing.
