The History of the Brooklyn Bridge & Guided Walk – August 21

Join us to learn the fascinating story of the Roebling family and the engineering behind it. Immerse yourself in the history of the bridge that transformed the New York landscape forever.

This program meets at and first hour will take place Pier 1 Granite Prospect’s rock steps, before walking up to the first tower of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Accessibility: The guided walk onto the bridge includes an uphill, ~ 7 block (around 4,595 ft) journey to the tower of the bridge. There is a small staircase to access the bridge and once on you can expect there to be no shade, and a slight uphill incline on concrete and wooden flooring.
