LAWN CLOSURES

The grass at the Empire Fulton Ferry Lawn was recently replaced following the redesign and construction of the area, part of the larger Emily Warren Roebling Plaza project.

The lawn will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays to allow the young grass to properly root and grow.

Relax at Empire Fulton Ferry, a green oasis set against a scenic cityscape that just begs to be photographed. Located between the historic Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, Empire Fulton Ferry features the beautifully restored Jane’s Carousel, a gift of Jane and David Walentas. Pack a picnic to enjoy at one the many picnic tables in the Picnic Grove. Or stop into Empire Stores where you can enjoy the rich history of the Civil War-era building that has been transformed into a 21st-century mall with shops, offices, and the famous Time Out Market where you can find any type of delicious meal!

Next door at the Tobacco Warehouse, now home to St. Ann’s Warehouse, you can enjoy the arts and take in a show.

The Tobacco Warehouse’s historic brick walls also house the Max Family Garden. This charming, triangular garden with meandering paths, welcoming seating areas, and neatly framed views invites visitors to sit and catch their breath in its peaceful interior.
