Join American Ballet Theatre and Brooklyn Bridge Park for an interactive dance workshop exploring the magic of storytelling in classical ballets! Designed for children ages 4–12, this session includes a ballet warm-up inspired by the seven movements of dance and time to learn and share a short excerpt from ABT’s repertoire. No prior dance experience required—just bring your energy and favorite dance attire! Takes place at Pier 6 Liberty Lawn.
This is not a drop-off class, please arrive ready and excited to engage with your family members at all times. Co-presented by American Ballet Theatre and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Participants who register in advance and sign in at the event will enter a complimentary ticket drawing to ABTKids hosted by Misty Copeland (June 27).

Parking near Brooklyn Bridge Park is very limited. We recommend using public transportation, biking, or walking to the Park. BBP is accessible by bus, subway and ferry. Get details on ways to get to the Park.
There are limited metered parking spaces in a public parking lot on Furman Street near Pier 2. The parking spaces are metered for both a minimum and a maximum of three hours. Please note that parking on the Loop Road (between Pier 5 and Pier 6) is not allowed, it is a drop-off space only.
There are two paid parking garages in the Park. A parking garage operated by City Parking is located near Pier 6, accessible on the south side of 360 Furman Street. A parking garage operated by LAZ is located near Pier 1, accessible on the south side of 90 Furman Street (under Squibb Bridge). Additionally, several paid garages are located within short walking distance to the Park.
Yes. There are water fountains throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park and each has a water bottle filling feature.
Water fountains are turned off for the winter season when outside temperatures reach freezing.
Yes, if you find an item in the Park you can give it to any Park staff member or drop it off at our office at 334 Furman Street (near Pier 5). If you have lost an item please complete this form here, if the item is found we will contact you.
