Have you ever gone fishing in NYC? Join Brooklyn Bridge Park staff to learn about the ecology of the East River as you participate in a free catch-and-release fishing lesson at the Pier 5 fishing stations (at the end of the pier). Presented in partnership with Maritime Youth Alliance.
All equipment will be provided; humane hooks will be used and this program is catch-and-release. Each participant/group may fish for approximately 20-minute sessions; repeated sessions permitted based on demand, to allow others a chance to fish. No experience needed – all equipment and supplies are provided.
This program is first-come, first-served. By pre-registering and filling our waiver, you’ll be placed in a fast-track line, and also receive reminders and event notifications. All participants must sign a waiver before participating.
