June 27 Morning Yoga has been cancelled.
The Vision Council Foundation is proud to sponsor this Morning Yoga class in celebration of National Sunglasses Day! Observed every June 27th, National Sunglasses Day is a reminder of the importance of wearing UV-protective eyewear to shield your eyes from harmful sun exposure – because protecting your vision is just as essential as protecting your skin. Join us on the mat and leave with sunglasses and other wellness goodies. Want to celebrate with us online? Use our free toolkit to share on social media with #NationalSunglassesDay.
Start your day with a free relaxing and strengthening yoga session led by Abhaya Yoga! This all-level one hour fitness class is open to all ages and abilities.
This yoga class integrates postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to stretch, strengthen and condition.
No equipment is required but participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels, if desired, to use on the lawn. An extremely limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow from Brooklyn Bridge Park staff.
Advance registration is highly encouraged but walk-ups welcome as capacity allows. Fitness waivers are required by all participants (click here; you only need to complete once per season). Please note that holiday weekends may be skipped; please check our schedule.
