Pursue your favorite kind of fun on Pier 2 with five acres of activities. Find basketball, handball, ping pong, pickleball, fitness equipment, swing sets, a play turf, picnic tables, and free, seasonal kayaking programs. There is something for every athlete.

ABOUT PIER 2

Pier 2 is dedicated to active recreation and features a variety of activities and attractions. A wide promenade wraps around the pier, offering magnificent views of lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor. Restrooms, lockers, water fountains/bottle refilling stations, picnic tables and bike racks are also available on site. The pier and all facilities are fully ADA accessible.

PERMIT RULES

The Pier 2 Courts may be reserved for the following sports: basketballhandball, and ping pong, fees may apply for permitted use of courts. Athletic league use is not permitted on the Pier 2 Play Turf. Please visit our permits page for more information.
