Education Pop-ups

Brooklyn Bridge Park educators bring fun and learning throughout the park, with rotating outdoor pop-up events!

Education Station

Drop on by BBP’s Education Station to get hands-on with the park’s spectacular nature and make a nature-inspired art project. Themes range from algae, to oysters, to brackish water to flowers found in the park and more. All ages are welcome to this free drop-in program. Location changes, but can frequently be found at Pier 6 near the Water Lab, Pier 5 near the playground and soccer fields, Pier 1 near the entrance of Bridge View Lawn, and elsewhere!

Art-Making Station

Be inspired to make your own art from Public Art Fund artist Woody De Othello’s sculptural installation Guardian Spirit. Learn about his artwork and practice as you explore a weekly new art medium such as clay, sketching, and collage. All ages are welcome to this free drop-in program. This program typically takes place at Pier 1 Promenade, near the installed art.

Please note that given their nature, our outdoor pop-up programs are subject to change or cancellation. In the event of heavy rain, wind, or thunderstorms, our programs are often modified and moved indoors to the Education Center at 99 Plymouth St. View the Alerts page for updates.
